Top 5 – Most anticipated games of early 2010
Quick list this week because I’m crazy busy. But as we turn the calendar to 2010, here are the five upcoming titles I am most looking forward to playing in the next few months
1. Final Fantasy XIII (PS3 & XBox 360)

Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles – The Crystal Bearers has been a nice appetizer, but the main course (years in the making!) arrives in March. Early reviews from Japan have been mixed, and certainly there have been some serious ups and downs in the past few years, but I’ll still be sinking a lot of hours into this one.
2. Bioshock 2 (PS3 & XBox 360)

The first Bioshock was one of the great pleasures of the current console generation, mixing a well-thought out story with great action a fantastic setting and the instantly iconic Big Daddies. Returning to Rapture to play as a Big Daddy, with a polar change in the extremist political ideology underpinning the game, it all sounds great.
3. God of War 3 (PS3)
Kratos is back, laying waste for more elements of Greek mythology. But this time, its in glorious HD. Sony’s flagship title for the first part of the year should cement itself as an very early Game of the Year candidate, as long as it brings something new to the table besides HD graphics.
4. Heavy Rain (PS3)

This one has kind of snuck up on me, but the early previews are intriguing, and it feels like this is a title that could set a new standard for interactive storytelling. Plus, it looks to be scary. Scary is good.
5. LEGO Harry Potter (Everything)
The LEGO games have been consistently excellent, and with fantastic source material in the first four Harry Potter books/movies, there’s not reason to think these would be terrific all-ages fun as well. Its also looking to be the only major family-oriented title released in the first few months of the year.
